New York-based investment firm KKR & Co. Inc. has backed Australian asset financing firm Maia Financial’s A$100 million ($72 million) specialized asset finance fund.
The fund seeks to provide companies and governments in Australia and New Zealand to access a new and flexible source of alternative funding to fuel business growth in both countries.
The new fund is expected to provide Maia Financial with clients with a new source of financing.
KKR is making the investment from the firm’s corporate opportunities credit fund and other credit accounts.
