U.S. LACERA commits $100 mln to China’s LAV Biosciences Fund V

U.S. retirement fund manager The Los Angeles County Employees’ Retirement Association (LACERA) has invested $100 million in Chinese healthcare-focused venture capital fund LAV Biosciences Fund V.

LAV Biosciences Fund V, launched by Chinese biomedical venture capital firm Lilly Asia Ventures (LAV), will inject in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Additionally, LACERA is also supporting TPG Real Estate’s third opportunity fund with $100 million capital investment.

LACERA intends to make $600 million of investment by the end of 2019.
