U.S. construction and real estate development company Mortenson has completed the construction of three new ground facilities totaling 180,000 square feet for United Airlines at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

Finalization of the $105 million United Airlines project is a milestone in O’Hare’s massive upgrade of its runways, which includes adding and expanding some while closing others.

In November 2018, United Airlines got its occupancy certifications for the new Ground Equipment Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance & Stores.

The airline company uses the buildings for equipment maintenance and storage as well as to house its facility maintenance personnel, bussing operation, aircraft move team, and aircraft provisioning or cleaning operations.
