U.S.-based food ingredients company Motif Ingredients has inaugurated with $90 million in Series A funding.
With the net funds, Motif Ingredients will provide next-generation alternative proteins and other ingredients to global food companies.
The round received participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Louis Dreyfus Company, Fonterra, and Viking Global Investors.
In addition, Motif Ingredients will leverage biotechnology to establish novel solutions for foods that provide consumers with greater choices, without compromising taste or nutrition.
