U.S.-based digital media company Mythical Entertainment has completed the acquisition of sketch comedy company Smosh from a bank.
The purchase price was considered at about $10 million.
Moreso, Smosh is seeking to boost its YouTube output again, after launching a new podcast dubbed SmoshCast on the heels of the acquisition.
With the acquisition, Mythical Entertainment vastly expands its empire to 70 million subscribers and 250 million monthly views across 14 total YouTube channels.
