U.S.-based vitamins and nutritional supplements manufacturer Nature’s Bounty is nearing to infuse $33 million in its vitamin manufacturing facilities expansion in Suffolk County, New York.

Nature’s Bounty will build new equipment, parking lots and other improvements at its manufacturing facilities and preserve nearly 2,000 job opportunities.

The company is one of 12 local recipients of new allocations of low-cost electricity from the state Power Authority. New York-based drugmaker Ascent Pharmaceuticals Inc. will invest $5 million in its Central Islip plant and create 215 jobs.

U.S. hospital services provider Central Suffolk Hospital will also spend $70 million in its new cardiac intensive care unit.
