U.S.-based pet food maker Nestlé Purina, unit of Swiss food major Nestlé, is expecting to extend its factory in Bloomfield with a projected 115 million Swiss Franc ($114.9 million) infusion.

Nestlé Purina said that the project will boost production of its Tidy Cats brand cat litter, sales of which have grown 18 percent over the past four years.

The extension plan will further add a 110,000 square foot processing and packaging facility and creation of about 30 new jobs by mid-2020.

Nestlé noted the move is in line with its continuous investment in high-growth categories in its core food and beverage business.
