U.S. racetrack and casino operator Oaklawn Racing and Gaming plans to start construction on a $100 million extension project.
The expansion project will include an extended gaming area, a seven-story 200-room hotel, and a 14,000-square-foot multi-purpose event center.
At the new hotel, half of the guest rooms will include track views and the multipurpose event center will house up to 1,500 people for concerts, meetings, banquets and weddings.
Approximately 28,000 square feet of gaming space will be added. The expansion scheme is expected to be finalized by the end of 2020.
