U.S. social gambling company Rocket Games has been acquired by the casino company Penn National for $170 million.

Penn National said that it will pay $60 million in cash, as well as earn-outs of up to $110 million on top of that based on company performance.

For Penn, the deal will help the company to continue to expand the kinds of games that it offers in physical locations, as well as to extend its brand and customer relationships further into the online world when people are not visiting those physical venues.

In July 2015, the company acquired U.S. video gaming terminal operator Prairie State Gaming in an all-cash transaction.
