U.S. Raytheon to invest about $1.35 bln in pension plans over two years

U.S. defense contractor and industrial company Raytheon Co. plans to invest about $1.35 billion in its global pension plans in 2019 and 2020.

Raytheon will infuse about $356 million in pension plans in 2019 and an extra $1 billion roughly split evenly to partially offset the required contributions in 2019 and 2020.

In 2018, Raytheon contributed a total of $2.1 billion to pension plans.

In the fiscal year 2017, the company generated about $25.35 billion in revenue.
