U.S.-based esports and gaming company ReKTGlobal has completed with $10.8 million in a Series A funding.
The round was conducted by an individual backer. Other investors including the co-owner of Rogue prior to its acquisition, Imagine Dragons and a talent manager, alongside other investors from sports and media, also participated in the round.
With the net proceeds, ReKTGlobal will support international expansion as a pro gaming powerhouse with esports superstars, celebrity supporters and a rabid fanbase.
ReKTGlobal will also use the funds to cover the cost of its unit, Rogue’s, entry into Riot Games’ League of Legends European Championship.
