Florida-based cruise company Royal Caribbean plans to construct a third cruise terminal in the Port of Galveston with nearly $100 million investment.

Royal Caribbean will construct the terminal and enter into long-term lease agreements, as it brings its ships such as the Oasis class at the new terminal.

The terminal, which is 200,000 square feet, will be ready for operations in the fall of 2021.

As a result of the investment, Royal Caribbean will use Terminal 3, which will be on 10 acres of land at Pier 10. Furthermore Royal Caribbean will initially lease the terminal land for 20 years.
