U.S. software solutions firm Propel raises $12.8 mln in Series A funding

U.S. computer software solutions developer Propel has raised $12.8 million in a Series A funding round.

Propel secured the funds for its free app called Fresh EBT to manage government benefits.

The round was led by Nyca Partners with the participation from Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, Omidyar Network, Thirty Five Ventures and Alexa von Tobel.

Propel has raised a total of $18.2 million in over 4 funding rounds.
