Florida-based airline software-as-a-service solutions provider Farelogix is being acquired by travel technology company Sabre for around $360 million.

Sabre said that it expects the acquisition to push airlines to more quickly adopt the latest tools and methods for selling their services via online and offline travel agencies. It will fund the purchase of Farelogix with cash on hand and revolver borrowing.

Sabre said that the approximately 225 workers at Farelogix will be brought over as a wholly-owned subsidiary after the deal is closed in late 2018 or early 2019.

Upon the close of this deal, Sabre expects that it will accelerate the development of its end-to-end retailing, distribution, and fulfilment strategy for airlines.
