U.S.-based water and power utility company Salt River Project (SRP) plans to invest additional $210 million to expand its headquarters (HQ) and nearby Pera Club recreation centre in Tempe, Arizona.

The public water and power utility HQ construction, expected to be done in 2020, began with renovations in 2014 with most of the projects completed including a new customer-service centre on Mill Avenue.

SRP said that it will invest $32 million in the upgrade of Pera Club, located off Continental Drive west of 68th Street, later this year.

The new construction will meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification. Further, SRP is seeking to boost its electric rates by $50 million a year.
