U.S. Savant Capital buys new stake in Marriott at $18.5 mln valuation

U.S.-based investment management firm Savant Capital LLC purchased a new stake in shares of hospitality company Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corp.

Savant purchased 165,541 shares of Marriott’s stock, valued at approximately $18.5 million.

Shares of Marriott opened at $84.55. Marriott has a market capitalization of $2.28 billion. A number of other hedge funds and other institutional investors also recently modified their holdings of the business.

U.S.-based investment firm Piedmont Investment Advisors LLC now owns 5,472 shares of Marriott stock valued at $618,000 after buying an additional 425 shares in the last quarter.
