U.S. light detection and ranging solutions company Sense Photonics has raised $26 million in Series A round of financing.

The latest financing round was co-led by Acadia Woods and Congruent Ventures.

Other backers including Prelude Ventures, Samsung Ventures, Shell Ventures, Hemi Ventures and IPD Capital also participated in the financing.

Sense Photonics plans to use the money raised from the funding for the continued development and commercialization of its sensor technology and the transition to high volume production.
