California-based Skedulo, a scheduling app and mobile workforce management software company, has raised $28 million in a Series B funding round.

The round was led by U.S.-based Microsoft’s venture capital unit, M12, with participation from existing backers Blackbird and Costanoa Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to increase headcount by 118 percent across its four offices, including adding 60 new sales, marketing, product design, software engineering, and other supporting employees to its Australian offices in Brisbane and Sydney.

To date, Skedulo has bagged a total of more than $40 million in funding.
