U.S. contract bakery company Omni Baking Co. L.L.C. has sold its assets to specialty food company T. Marzetti Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lancaster Colony Corp.
The assets were sold at a purchase price of $25 million, subject to post-closing adjustments.
The deal is expected to provide Lancaster Colony with improved control over the supply and production of its frozen garlic bread products as well as future capacity expansion opportunities.
On October 22, 2018, T. Marzetti acquired all the assets of U.S. stuffed bagels producer Bantam Bagels for $34 million.
