U.S. Spruce Finance raises $50 mln in equity funding from HPS Investment

U.S.-based solar asset management company Spruce Finance has landed $50 million in equity financing.

Spruce Finance secured the new funds from its owner, New York-based investment firm HPS Investment Partners LLC.

The latest investment provides Spruce Finance with support for continued growth via the acquisition of solar assets.

Last year, Spruce Finance was purchased by HPS Investment Partners, which has over $46 billion of assets under management.
