U.S. cloud-based financial technology provider Intralinks Holdings, Inc has been acquired by financial technology solutions provider SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc.

Under the terms of the deal, SS&C paid a total consideration of $1.5 billion for Intralinks. The purchase price consists of $1 billion in cash and $500 million in SS&C stock.

SS&C funded the acquisition with a combination of approximately 9.9 million common shares and $1.0 billion of incremental term loan debt.

With the deal, Intralinks and SS&C expect to meet the needs of major banks, alternative funds and other corporations seeking to automate document-centric, collaborative workflows and further expand SS&C’s growing financial technology footprint.
