Shazam, a mobile application developed by UK-based software company Shazam Entertainment Ltd, agreed to a takeover by U.S. technology giant Apple for a reported $400 million.

The deal expects Shazam to be under Apple’s umbrella of applications soon.

In exchange for the $400 million, and through a strategic merger of Shazam’s services with these of Apple Music, Apple will get to reach 1 billion users that have already downloaded the application.

Apple previously acquired California-based audio products producer Beats for $3 billion in 2014.
