U.S.-based technology giant Google, part of advertising to investment company Alphabet Inc., will construct a new data centre in an Ohio city with a $600 million investment plan.

The investment in central Ohio is a part of Google’s plan to inject more than $13 billion this year on new and expanded data centres and offices across the U.S.

Google, whose new centres are expected to employ 10,000 workers, will have a physical presence in 24 states by the end of the year.

Moreso, Google will develop new data centres in Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia.
