Trinseo, a U.S. plastics to latex manufacturer, is buying plastic fabrication company Aristech Surfaces LLC for $445 million.
Trinseo noted that the deal enables it to provide a full offering of polymethylmethacrylate technologies and innovative products that serve customers in new, high-growth markets.
The deal, expected to make Trinseo a global speciality materials and sustainable solutions provider, is expected to close by year-end 2021.
On completion of the transaction, Aristech Surfaces will become part of Trinseo’s engineered materials segment.
