U.S. specialty fibers company Unifrax Corp. is planning a $36 million extension project at its factory in the North Youngmann Commerce Park in the Town of Tonawanda, New York.

The expansion project, expected to create 10 new jobs, will involve constructing a 90,000-square-foot addition to the company’s existing facility.

The deal is expected to broaden production lines to make polycrystalline fiber products, much of which will be ultimately sold into European markets.

The economic development agency has agreed to provide the company with a tax incentive package worth over $2.5 million for the project.
