U.S. clinical trials and patient recruitment company Velocity Clinical Research has purchased its first three research sites.
The sites include the Clinical Research Institute of Southern Oregon in Medford, Oregon, New Horizons Clinical Research of Cincinnati and MD Clinical of Hallandale Beach, Florida.
The company said that it has purchased very successful and profitable sites so it is not reliant on investors for working capital, but can infuse its profits in the further development of the company.
Velocity, which acquired the sites using $20 million from recent fundraising, added that it intends to focus heavily on patient recruiting.
