U.S. private equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC is aiming to secure 2 billion pounds ($2.5 billion) for its second energy-focused private equity fund.
Warburg Pincus' second oil and gas vehicle will be used in conjunction with the firm's flagship private equity fund.
The two funds will contribute equally to any energy investment the firm makes.
Warburg Pincus LLC has raised a total of $77.1 billion across 19 funds and has invested $58 billion in over 760 companies.
