U.S. water treatment company Pentair PLC has purchased water treatment equipment and water quality solutions company Aquion Inc. for $160 million in cash, subject to customary post-closing adjustments.
Pentair said that the purchase of Aquion provides the company with access to affiliated dealer network for residential water treatment business.
The company added that through the deal, Pentair expects to provide consumers with more choices to meet their water needs.
Annually, Pentair generates approximately $4 billion in revenue.
