U.S. WESCO to acquire Sylvania Lighting Solutions for $114 mln

U.S. electrical to communications maintenance company WESCO International has agreed to acquire German lighting solutions company Osram Licht AG’s North American services unit, Sylvania Lighting Solutions.

WESCO International will buy Sylvania Lighting Solutions' business operations in the U.S. and Canada for close to 100 million euros ($114 million).

Osram Licht said that it targeting intelligent technologies in the field of visible and invisible light for the market fields of visualization, sensor technology and treatment.

The transaction is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.
