New York-based shared workspaces provider WeWork-affiliated real estate fund is acquiring a Washington office building in collaboration with real estate equity investment company Meridian Group for $136.5 million.

A joint venture set up by WeWork and Rhone Capital, WeWork Property Advisors, is giving 50 percent of the equity.

The seller of the 350,000-square-foot building is real estate investment trust Boston Properties.

WeWork plans to lease 100,000 square feet in the development and turn it into a co-working space.
