U.S. waste to energy company Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. plans to inaugurate an 800 million pounds ($1 billion) incinerator in Flintshire, Wales, UK.
Once finalized, the waste-to-energy facility will generate 19 megawatts of electricity to power homes and businesses.
The facility will be able to process up to 200,000 tonnes of post-recycled waste a year to create renewable energy.
The first waste delivery at the Parc Adfer energy facility is anticipated to be made on May 6, 2019, following positive progress on the site.
