South Korean digital stationery provider, WeBudding, has successfully raised USD1.9 million in funding in a round led by Goodnotes. The infusion of funds is intended to fuel the expansion of the company's operations and reach within the digital stationery market. Established in November 2018 by Donghwan Shin, Donggyun Ko, and Chaeyoung Lee, WeBudding initially gained traction by creating customized paper notebooks tailored for various academic majors. However, recognizing the shift towards remote learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company pivoted to a digital note template marketplace, ultimately evolving into a prominent digital stationery service in Asia.
