USA, Boulder-based company Zephr has raised $3.5 million in seed funding to further develop its next-generation GPS technologies. The funding round was led by Space Capital and First Spark Ventures. Zephr's unique GPS technology leverages a multi-receiver system, allowing users' mobile devices to function as base stations and generate ensemble error corrections to significantly enhance GPS accuracy, down to an average result of sub-60cm. This networked GPS system eliminates common errors and inaccuracies while ensuring stability and reliability with minimal risk of interference. Zephr's technology has broad applications across industries such as navigation, delivery, ridesharing, auto insurance, agriculture, advertising, location-based apps, autonomy, augmented reality, location-based gaming, and smart cities. The funds will support the company's rapid growth in the coming year.
