Zimbabwe-based brick and concrete roof tile supplier BETA Bricks is investing around $10 million in constructing a factory in Goromonzi, around 40 kilometers east of Harare.
The factory, which will create about 400 direct jobs, is expected to have an annual capacity of 180 million bricks and to be finalized in two years.
BETA Bricks said that the latest technology in clay brick manufacturing and systems will be incorporated in the factory.
The facility will be the most advanced brick factory in Zimbabwe and one of the largest in sub-Saharan Africa upon its finalization.
