Allemagne Delivery Hero, un marché en ligne de commande et de livraison de produits alimentaires, vend son activité foodpanda India à Ola en échange d'actions de la société indienne de ride-élingue.
L'accord marque le retour d'Ola à l'activité de livraison de nourriture, qu'il a abandonné en 2016, selon les médias locaux, et donnera à l'entreprise une plate-forme pour concurrencer UberEATS, un service similaire lancé en mai par Uber Technologies.
En vertu de l'accord, Ola, détenue par ANI Technologies, s'engagera également à investir 200 millions de dollars dans les activités de Foodpanda en Inde.
Delivery Hero avait acquis la société foodpanda et sa filiale indienne en décembre 2016.

The service allows users to select from local restaurants and place orders via its mobile applications as well as its websites. The company has partnered with over 27,095 restaurants in 193 cities and works with over 15,733 delivery riders. The firm was acquired by Delivery Hero in early December 2016. The Foodpanda group was founded by Ralf Wenzel, Benjamin Bauer and Felix Plog in 2012.
OLA CABS was founded in Mumbai in 2010 as an Indian online transportation network company. It is worth $ 5 billion since September 2015. In 2015, OlaCabs bought the Bangalore-based taxi service TaxiForSure for about $ 200 million. Up until 2015, Ola acquired Geotagg, an implementation company that plans trips, to strengthen a new bus service. By 2017, the company has expanded to a network of more than 600 vehicles in 110 countries.
