Lyft s'étend à l'international à partir de Londres

Lyft, le plus proche rival américain d'Uber dans le secteur des taxis, a rencontré à plusieurs reprises des représentants de l'autorité de régulation des transports de Londres au cours de l'année écoulée, ce qui pourrait signifier que la ville va se développer à l'international.

Si Lyft entre dans le marché londonien, Uber affrontera son premier concurrent bien financé en Europe lorsqu'il tentera d’infirmer la décision de TfL de ne pas renouveler sa licence.

Lyft a levé environ 2,6 milliards de dollars de financement, dont un tour d'investissement de 600 millions de dollars en avril et ses investisseurs incluent le constructeur automobile General Motors.

Lyft a déjà signalé qu'elle envisageait une expansion à l'extérieur des États-Unis. La société a annoncé en août que Lyft prévoyait de se lancer à l'international «dans un avenir pas trop lointain».
