Cairn India Holdings Ltd., a unit of Indian miner Vedanta Ltd, announced that its investment in South African mining company Anglo American PLC has reached all governance norms.
Cairn India paid $200 million to acquire a stake in Anglo American from Bahamas-based investment holding company Volcan Investments Ltd. as part of Cairn's cash management activities.
In 2017, Vedanta generated $9.99 billion in revenue.
In 2011, Anglo American Plc. divested a 24.5 percent share in its Chilean copper unit for $5.39 billion.
