Sichuan Road & Bridge, a Chinese construction firm, has secured a $195 million road contract from the Ministry of Equipment and Housing of Tunisia. The project involves the construction of a bridge connecting the port city of Bizerte with the A4 highway. The commencement of construction work is imminent, and the enhanced link is anticipated to improve transportation in the region.
The upgraded infrastructure will facilitate smoother transport for heavy vehicles to and from the port, located in the north of Tunisia, providing an economic boost to the area.
