Ireland-based airline company Ryanair, a subsidiary of scheduled-passenger airline services provider Ryanair Holdings Plc., plans to inject about $1.5 billion in Ukraine over the next five years.

With the investment, Ryanair intends to raise the number of passengers and flights in Ukraine up to 5 million in the coming 3 to 5 years.

The deal will enable Ryanair to increase the fleet of aircrafts and use Ukraine as the basis for international flights of the airline.

Ryanair generates revenue of $9 billion annually and has an operating income of $1.9 billion.
