U.S. professional baseball team Milwaukee Brewers has launched a $60 million refurbishment and expansion of its spring training home, Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix.

The scheme includes a new 82,000-square-foot clubhouse building with locker rooms and vastly upgraded facilities for all of the baseball operations functions, along with a wide array of fan advancements from new concessions, retail stores, seating and a Daktronics video board.

The training complex features a new entry plaza, refurbished space for sports science and psychological services, an eight-lane batting tunnel, an agility field, new pitching and catching mounds, a high-performance practice field matching Miller Park’s dimensions and advancements to each of the seven playing fields.

The previous Major League and minor league buildings totaled about 41,000 square feet. The comparable space in the new construction and refurbishment will approximately double that at 82,000 square feet.
