South African drug maker Aspen Pharmacare will invest an additional 3.4 billion rand ($231 million) at its Port Elizabeth plant.
The investment will be used to manufacture sterile anaesthetics.
On May 9, 2018, Aspen Pharmacare raised $3.8 billion in its post-initial public offering.
The company has $3.3 billion in revenue annually.
