Spanish hospitality company Barcelo Hotel Group has announced plans to extend its operations in Turkey over the next five years.
Barcelo Hotel will make a 100 million euros ($112 million) investment in the expansion project, which will see the company have a total of 20 hotels in the country.
With the project, the company intends to focus on Istanbul, Antalya on the Mediterranean coast, İzmir on the Aegean coast, the capital Ankara and Cappadocia.
Barcelo Hotel, which on May 3 officially launched its five-star Barcelo Hotel Istanbul, has invested $67.2 million in the county to date.
