Texas-based Ben E. Keith, a food service products and beverages distribution company, is seeking to extend its south Fort Worth operation with a $22 million investment.

The 185,000-square-foot extension project in Texas is expected to bring over 280 new jobs to the warehouse in the Carter Industrial Park.

The company has planned a $22 million investment for construction, of which at least $3 million will go to Fort Worth-based companies.

The Fort Worth City Council will consider a seven-year tax abatement worth 50 percent of the property’s improved value. The abatement equals approximately $877,000 over the seven-year term.
