U.S.-based healthcare facilities supplier Healthmark Industries Inc. plans to knock down a building to keep expanding operations in Fraser.

Healthmark expects to spend more than $20 million. It is entering a new phase as it earns a $1 million performance-based grant from the state.

The company has renovated, connected and added on to two buildings for a total of 150,000 square feet at 15 Mile and Kelly roads, it plans to demolish the building and in its stead construct a 50,000-square-foot building for warehouse and production space.

Levelling the light manufacturing facility Healthmark recently bought is expected to start in late winter or early spring. The new building's construction would finish around 2020. The company recorded about $57 million in revenue last year.
